Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and NumbersRing (“NumbersRing”, “we”, “us”). They apply to numbersring.com, your customer portal and every number, plan and service you get from us. Please read them carefully. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Accepting these Terms

By creating an account, placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use NumbersRing for a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf, and “you” includes that business.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password and your numbers’ port-out PINs private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You can close your account at any time from your portal profile. Closing it does not cancel amounts you already owe.

3. Buying a number

  • Price: each number has a one-time price shown on its card. Some premium numbers are priced individually through “Contact Agent” or “Make An Offer”.
  • Plan: every number also needs a monthly or annual plan (see section 4), chosen at checkout.
  • Availability: numbers are offered while available. Most numbers in our own inventory are live in your portal within minutes of a completed order; numbers sourced from partner carriers usually take one to three business days. If a number you paid for turns out to be unavailable, we will tell you and refund what you paid for it.
  • Payment: an order is confirmed once payment is received. Wire, cryptocurrency and escrow orders are confirmed when the funds arrive.
  • Your number: once your order is complete the number is yours to use, forward, text from, transfer to another person, move to another carrier or sell on our marketplace, for as long as your account is in good standing and its plan is paid. Phone numbers are also subject to the rules of the carriers and regulators that govern them, which may change.

4. Plans and billing

  • Each number has its own plan (for example Park, or a forwarding plan) and its own billing period, monthly or annual. You can change either from the number’s Options tab.
  • Optional add-ons, such as text messaging, are billed per number per month.
  • Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Every charge is shown on the Billing page of your portal before you pay.
  • If a payment fails, we may suspend the services on the affected number until it is paid. A number whose plan stays unpaid may be released after we have given you notice.
  • Prices may change. We will tell you before a price change applies to your plan.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a number at any time from its Options tab. Cancelling stops its monthly charges and removes it from your account. It then stays in your Recently Deleted list for a short grace period, during which you can restore it with one click; after that it is released and cannot be recovered.

[Refund rule to confirm: for example, whether the one-time number price and any unused part of a plan are refundable, and within how many days.]

6. Transfers and ownership handovers

  • Transferring a number to us: you must be authorised to move the number and must give us your current carrier’s details accurately. Keep your current service active until the transfer finishes, or the number can be lost. Most transfers complete in 3 to 10 business days after your current carrier approves them; we are not responsible for delays or rejections by other carriers.
  • Moving a number away: your portal’s Port Out tab shows the details your new carrier needs. While Transfer Lock is on, no carrier can move the number.
  • Handing a number to someone else: the number moves only when the new owner accepts the handover from their NumbersRing account. A one-time handover fee applies.

7. Marketplace: offers and selling

  • Offers: an offer you make, or an offer you accept, is binding. An accepted offer becomes an order at the agreed price.
  • Selling: you may list a number only if you are its registered owner, it is active on your NumbersRing account and you have the right to transfer it. Selling requires an approved seller application, including a completed IRS Form W-9.
  • While listed: the number’s port-out details are locked so buyers can rely on it. You can remove a listing at any time before it sells.
  • When it sells: once the buyer pays in full, the number moves to the buyer’s account and the sale cannot be reversed. Proceeds are paid to your registered PayPal account after a 10-day hold, less any marketplace fees shown before you listed and any amounts from disputes or refunds.
  • The full seller terms are shown, and must be accepted, when you apply to sell from your portal.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use NumbersRing, or any number you get from us, to:

  • break any law, including laws on telemarketing, robocalls and text messages (such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM);
  • send spam or unwanted messages, or make calls to people who have not agreed to receive them where consent is required;
  • impersonate anyone, spoof caller ID to mislead, or commit fraud;
  • harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
  • interfere with our systems, or access accounts or data that are not yours.

We may suspend or close accounts and numbers used this way, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities.

Emergency calls: NumbersRing is not a replacement for a regular phone service for emergency calls. Do not rely on it to call 911 or other emergency services.

9. Our website and content

The NumbersRing name, logo, website design and content belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site to find, buy and manage numbers, but you may not copy, scrape or reuse its content for another purpose without our written permission. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for them.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work hard to keep our services running, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that calls and messages will always be delivered, as they also depend on other carriers and networks.

To the fullest extent the law allows, NumbersRing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or missed calls. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to cover NumbersRing for any claims, losses or costs caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of a number.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, do not pay, or if we are required to by law or by a carrier. Where reasonable we will give you notice first. You may stop using our services at any time by cancelling your numbers and closing your account.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, let you know by email or on the site. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
